Vaelsun

I've spent most of my life making things.

I started out as a machinist, spent several years making custom knives and swords, and eventually found my way into engineering. Music was always part of my life, too, though it took me considerably longer to start performing and sharing it with other people.

These days I play guitar in Desideratum, an original band out of Salem, Oregon. Outside the band, I've been exploring my own music, experimenting with different sounds, and finding out where some of those ideas lead.

The name Vaelsun was given to me years ago by a shaman. I've never had one neat explanation for what it means, but it's a name I've grown rather attached to.

This site is a place for the music, the things I'm working on, and whatever else seems worth sharing.
